Potter Culture

Since it's release in 1996 and the revolution of internet fandom it can't be denied by anyone - gan or otherwise - that Harry Potter is a major aspect of international culture. I am a huge fan and a debater for Harry Potter v/ Twilight. This does really sound petty and unnecessary but I think it is absurd that Twilight often gets more attention then Harry Potter when Harry Potter has true substance and teeming with quality whereas Twilight just sells sex. It is one of those things that makes me want to &*%$$#@!*&^%#.. but that isn't really lady like now is it?

A fashion representation of my arguments as follows.

The majority of Kristen Stewart (who plays Bella) photo shoots involve scantily clad over exposed or warmly lighted promiscuous photos. I know this may be an overstatement but comparing the core idea/message from each series of pictures involving the Twilight cast the substance in the saga shows that they are rather congruent( eheh look at me using fancy words like a big kid) I found when I read twilight that the summary can be summed up at blah blah life sucks for me blah blah, shit he is hot, blah blah ohemgee a vampire boy! blah blah kay it'll all work out, blah blah happy ending.

So all in all it is teenage hormones and and shock value of vampirism. Therefore the audience is interested in sex and lust. Most of the pictures I have seen reflect that.

And then there are the Harry Potter photo shoots.

Here is the main cast of Harry Potter. Now of course these photos shoots reflect the films but I would like to point out that each of these film franchisements have been recognized for staying true to the novels. The cast of HP has stayed out of trouble.. that means no smoking potentially illegal substances, early marriages or promiscuous public appearances.

These photos are all happy! They almost resemble that characters that these actors portray in the way that these are really friendly, colourful, and honourable.

This really sounds like a pitch.. Oh shoot I am even worse than Billy Mae (May he rest in peace)
